The Session Process is designed to move you from passive participation to active self-discovery. Using our signature framework, we explore the flow of sessions through guided inquiry and reflective exercises.
The POWER Framework
P
Play – Experience the Story
Play creates a safe environment where we can explore challenges, practice new skills, and experience meaningful stories together. Growth begins by stepping into the experience with curiosity and noticing the world, characters, goals, and emotions the story creates.
O
Observe – Notice What Happens
Observation builds self-awareness, emotional regulation, and mindfulness. Every game teaches us something through its narrative and through our reactions to it. We slow down, notice what keeps showing up, and become curious about our own experience.
W
Wonder – Become Curious
Wonder encourages creativity, flexibility, and deeper understanding. Instead of judging moments as good or bad, we ask curious questions about why they stood out, what they might mean, and what the story or game could be trying to say.
E
Explore – Connect Story to Self
Exploration turns insight into meaningful personal growth. We look for connections between the challenges inside the game and the challenges in everyday life, noticing familiar patterns, strengths, and new ideas we might try beyond the session.
R
Reflect – Carry the Lesson Forward
Reflection gathers everything we’ve discovered and asks how we want to use it. Growth continues after the controller is put down as we remember key lessons, name new strengths, and choose one small next step to try before we meet again.
Our Session Journey
Every session follows the same simple path. We call it PRESS START because every meaningful story only becomes possible with the curiosity to begin in the first place.
Play
Become immersed. Allow yourself to enjoy, experiment, and discover.
There is no expectation to be perfect. Only permission to participate.
Reflect
Pause throughout the experience. Notice your thoughts, emotions, successes, frustrations, and surprises.
Reflection doesn't only happen at the end, it happens throughout the journey.
Explore
Ask deeper questions. Look beyond what happened and begin asking why it mattered.
Explore connections between the game and your own experiences.
Strategize
Every obstacle invites a new approach. Together, we'll experiment with different ideas, perspectives, and problem-solving strategies.
Sometimes changing our thinking is more powerful than changing the outcome.
Share
Growth becomes stronger when we put it into words. We'll celebrate victories, acknowledge challenges, and identify one meaningful lesson to carry into everyday life.
Each session ends by creating a small Side Quest—a practical way to continue growing before we meet again.
